2017 Employee Appreciation & Excellence Awards

The Hawaii Restaurant Association is pleased to announce a program that allows restauranteurs,managers and business owners to recognize and publicly honor exceptional employees of restaurants and other food service operations, in two categories for both Restaurant and Allied Members of HRA:

FRONT OF THE HOUSE
and
BACK OF THE HOUSE

This is your opportunity to nominate your “Best of the House” of your staff. Awards will be given for non-management/non-supervisory positions in these two categories.

An independent committee will evaluate your nominations based on performance/service that goes above and beyond the nominee’s normal job responsibilities, outstanding and unusual service to the restaurant, to the guest, and/or to the community.

Each year, HRA recognizes the best of the best in Hawaii’s food service industry at the annual Employee Appreciation and Excellence Awards. This year we are excited to announce a new category – New Restaurant of the Year.

The 2016 New Restaurant of the Year Award is given to a new restaurant opening in 2016 based on the following criteria:

Innovation

Fresh concept

Community involvement

High level of customer service

Exceptional culinary offerings

The Employee Appreciation and Excellence Awards honor individuals and restaurants throughout Hawaii that demonstrate exceptional performance and contribution to the food service industry.

Awards are presented in five categories including Front of the House and Back of the House and new this year – New Restaurant of the Year.

HRA is excited to come together to honor all the employees and restaurants who work very hard and do well to represent our local food service industry.
