At an awards ceremony held in July at Sky Waikiki, the Hawaii Restaurant Association Educational Foundation board of directors awarded $1,500 scholarships to three outstanding Hawaii public high school students pursing a culinary degree in their college studies. HRAEF focuses on bolstering workforce development at the high school level with a two-year culinary program offered in ten Hawaii public high schools called Hawaii ProStart.
