The Hawaii Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (HRAEF) has partnered with Honolulu Coffee Company, Hawaii’s finest coffee roaster, to create a special “Haumana Blend” which is special roast to support the ProStart Fundraiser which will provide much needed funds directly to our local high schools culinary programs!
Honolulu Coffee Co. retail coffee shop locations throughout O’ahu will donate $5 for each 12oz bag of Haumana Blend Coffee sold to the HRAEF which will benefit the ProStart high schools culinary programs.
Students and teachers at ProStart school are excited to start earning money for their school! The ProStart schools will receive 100% of the $5 donation per bag sold at their schools and the money will directly support the culinary and hospitality classrooms at each school.
We are so excited for this fundraiser, which will begin on February 15, and will continue until the end of this school year. Your participation, either via purchasing coffee or helping us spread the word, will help the schools pay for updated ProStart books and curriculum materials as well as culinary tools for the classroom.
These are the ProStart high schools taking part in this fundraiser: Castle, Farrington, Kaiser, Kohala (Hawaii Island), Leilehua, Maui, Moanaloa, Pearl City, and Roosevelt. If you would like to order from a particular school but don’t have a direct contact with the culinary department at that school, please email info@hraef.org and we will help you get in touch with the high school you’d like to support. Or you can visit a Honolulu Coffee Co. retail location and look for the special Haimana Blend.
