Have any areas of your restaurant been ignored??

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As we happily rip 2020 off the wall, and move into 2021, there have been a lot of sanitation issues that may have been deferred for financial reasons, or using a skinnier staff can allow some areas to not have the attention they need. Lets take a look at a few, Of course these photos are a general representative of various observations, and no animals were harmed.

Just about every restaurant uses a sprayer hose at the dishmachine. Even the underside needs to be cleaned. Food Debris can accumulate, creating a food source for flies & roaches

How are your refrigeration gaskets? They usually deteriorate by tearing. This allows water and food debris to accumulate. This photo shows a gasket that should hae been replaced quite a while ago, but had been pushed back just a little too long.

With the current restrictions, you may not have a bartender taking care of the bar. The Soda gun and holster does need regular cleaning. Neglected, this can be the result. i always recommend to pour a pitcher of hot water down the drain tube and holster. The rubber ring does pop off and can be soaked or scrubbed.

Lastly – Drain flies are also know as filth flies. They have good mommies – they lay their eggs in accumulations of crud so the babies have a ready to eat buffet. Keeping floor drains, floors and walls clean and free from built up crud and trash. This area can easily be overlooked. Additionally, those yellow traps would not be needed if the area was kept clean!

Take a deep dive thru your restaurant to look for these and other areas hat may have not been paid attention to.
