3 ways to donate to the HRAEF

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Hawaii Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has three fundraising opportunities that you won’t want to miss.

First, the Aloha for Hawaii Charities campaign is providing the opportunity to make a donation to various non-profit partners. When you donate through the Aloha for Hawaii Charities campaign, the charity receives 100% of your donation plus a bonus boost from a funding pool generated by Friends of Hawaii Charities from the 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii.

The Donation Period is Now through January 20, 2021.

The HRAEF has their annual fundraiser where your donations will aid our Hawaii ProStart Program and our future workforce and foodservice industry. However, due to COVID, we are having a virtual fundraiser this year instead.

Currently ten local high schools (including on Maui and Hawaii island!) are participating in this awesome culinary arts program, and the exciting news is that we have a few more high schools looking at our program.

If you donate $25 dollars or more, you will receive a free t-shirt.

The last opportunity is to purchase $25 – $50 gift codes for DoorDash on the HRAEF website. Proceeds go to help the local Hawaii restaurant industry and the Prostart Culinary Education Programs in Hawaii.

Monies that the HRAEF receives from these donation programs go to the ProStart program, plus help purchase equipment and other supplies that our local High Schools use to educate Hawaii’s food workers, chefs and leaders of tomorrow.
