Attention Chili Lovers!
The HRA Educational Foundation is very excited to announce our next fundraiser to support their ProStart Program!
Please join us on March 7 at Koko Marina 11am-2pm for The Great Hawaiian Chili Cookoff! This fun event will feature teams from Kaiser HS, Leilehua HS and even Kohala HS from the Big Island who will all compete for the best chili. In addition, businesses from around the island will be competing for a separate “people’s choice” award. Dean & Deluca, Foodland, Tex 808, Triple F and more will be bringing a team to compete!
The event will also feature a local farmer’s market stand, live entertainment, and a bar co-sponsored by Kona Brewing, Pint + Jigger, and Beam Suntory!
Our team has been working tirelessly to finalize all the details of this inaugural annual event and we can’t wait to share it with you! To sign up to compete or to purchase tickets see more details in the attached flier.
All proceeds will benefit the HRA Educational Foundation’s ProStart Program. The ProStart Program is designed to inspire high school students to consider careers in the hospitality industry and provide them with scholarship and internship opportunities as well as mentorship/training for high school instructors, donations of classroom materials, and real industry connections.
