The Culinary Department at KCC has asked us to spread the word for them about last-minute openings in their two grant-funded Apprenticeship Programs that allow you to send your Cooks and Managers through FREE training. These classes are designed to elevate our hospitality workforce in Hawaii and have been incredibly popular over the past two years. Trainings are designed to work around the schedule of a full-time employee so they are very flexible (one day in-person for Cooks and online classes for Managers). Apprentices will work through every station, will receive a free ServSafe certification, and will learn skills that will greatly benefit your business and their lives. The next round of the Cook Apprentice Program begins April 26th and the next rounds of the Restaurant Manager Apprentice Program begin April 22nd & May 27 and there are still plenty of openings. Visit the Continuing Ed section of the KCC website or email Program Coordinator Marcus Fikse at marcusjt@hawaii.edu for more information!
