The Kickoff Event for the Hawaii Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (HRAEF) is right around the corner! The event will be held on April 4, from 6-8pm at the Honolulu Coffee Experience Center located at 1800 Kalakaua Ave. The event supports the efforts of the Hawaii ProStart Program created by the National Restaurant Association and administered locally by the HRAEF. Through industry internships, classroom training and chef mentor-ship, the ProStart Program inspires juniors and seniors in high school to be the next generation of leaders in the hospitality industry. The event will feature many big names in our industry and all of the food will be prepared by culinary students from Kaimuki, Castle, Kaiser and Pearl City high schools! Enjoy music, raffle prizes, networking, pupus and wine & beer. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door and are completely tax deductible! If you would like to contribute anything to the event or raffle, please contact Holly Kessler at holly.kessler@hraef.org. There will be limited free parking on the premises and overflow parking at the Convention Center for $10.
