HRAEF announces ProStart event for students, instructors, parents and community

EXCITING NEWS! The Hawaii Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (HRAEF) has confirmed its first official ProStart event for students, instructors, parents and the community! This will be an event to showcase our ProStart students’ talents, give information to the community about the program and a night to relax and mingle. Please contact our Director of Development, Holly Kessler, with inquires or if you are interested in helping to provide funding for a ProStart high school to be able to attend the event or to provide ingredients that the students can use to make pupus to be served at the event: holly.kessler@hraef.org

The event will be Thursday, April 4, 6-8pm at the
Honolulu Coffee Experience Center
1800 Kalakaua Ave in Honolulu

The HRAEF is also in the process of developing social media accounts so we can share with you in real-time about the great work that’s being done in high school culinary classrooms around the state! Stay tuned for more information on this as we finalize the last details.

We would like to formally welcome our new culinary instructor at Maui High School – Bob Steele. Mr. Steele has significant experience in the industry and is excited to be working with ProStart. We look forward to a great continued partnership between the HRAEF and Maui HS.
