Business Plans Hawaii was born from Valerie Koenig’s love of consulting. While working at Grant Thornton, she identified a niche in the restaurant industry for owner operators who needed help with their business plans to raise money, get loans, and create marketing programs. 15 years later, she has worked with dozens of restaurants, bars and brewpubs from Chinatown to Hilo, including J.J. Dolan’s, Scratch, Honolulu Beerworks, The Pig and the Lady and Village Burger. The company is offering a free, in-person consultation to HRA members who want to talk about their financial results, creating a sales and marketing process, or are just curious if they would benefit from a regular coaching arrangement.
