UPCOMING SERVSAFE® MANAGER CERTIFICATION CLASS/EXAM AT BIG CITY DINER – WINDWARD MALL

Keeping your management team Certified, AND helping HRAEF?

Hawaii requires a PIC on duty in your restaurant to possess an ANSI certified Food Safety Course. The best and most recognized certificate is earned through the ServSafe Food Managers Course.

The Hawaii Restaurant Association and Peter B Food Safety – a registered ServSafe Instructor/Proctor – working with Big City Diner – are scheduling the Food Managers Safety Course & Exam to be held on the last Thursday of every month.

The education starts about 1-2 weeks before the class. The Course book is sent to your students to review, then take a self-diagnostic test so the student can gauge what areas they need to learn more on.

The day of the class starts at 7:30 and ends by 5:30. The exam is 2 hours long, & consists of 90 multiple choice questions. The results are usually available in 2 weeks. The ServSafe Food Managers Certificate is valid for 5 years, and identifies the student and restaurant as being dedicated to the highest standards of Food Safety, and is a requirement for the ServSafe Dining Commitment.

Costs per student are reasonable, $190per student, with a $15 for HRA members, with an added bonus that a portion of the cost is donated to The Hawaii Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Accommodations may be pre-arranged. Due to social distancing requirements, class size is limited, and mask use is mandatory.

The next class/exam is scheduled to be held at Big City Diner Windward on AUGUST 27. Please contact Peter@peterbfoodsafety.com for information and to enroll. There are additional exam languages available and special accommodations can be pre-arranged.

Mahalo to Big City Diner for hosting the class. Lane Muraoka and Big City Diner has and continues to support the HRA.
