Plans for the HRAEF Kickoff Party on April 4th are well underway!

The HRAEF Marketing Committee has been working hard to create a unique event to showcase culinary students from three local high schools – Castle, Kaiser and Pearl City and to raise funds to further support these students in their career pathways into the hospitality industry. This will be a fun evening filled with student-prepared pupus, raffle prizes, music and networking with others in the community who are passionate about education and hospitality workforce development.

The event will be held at Honolulu Coffee’s flagship location, The Experience Center, located at 1800 Kalakaua Ave. Event time is 6p-8p. Tickets are $35 pre-sale and are tax deductible since the HRAEF is a 501(c)(3) organization. Please help us spread the word about this event and encourage your industry connections to purchase tickets! Contact HRAEF Director of Business Development Holly Kessler for more information on purchasing tickets (holly.kessler@hraef.org).

Also, we would like to give a shout out to the ProStart culinary students at Kohala High School who spent many hours tirelessly deep-cleaning community kitchens across the Big Island in the past weeks! Their hard work and dedication to those in need is inspiring and is exactly what we need to see more of in our communities. Special thank you to their instructor, Shirley Garcia, for organizing these great projects!
