October is always time for scary treats. Here are some photos of things I come across.
These should all be avoided by Basic Sanitation 101.
Do any of these conditions exist in your restaurant? We are all pretty good about cleaning things that are easily reached, but how many managers/Chefs look behind and under your equipment? Does your restaurant have a flashlight? Check to make sure your team is doing the proper cleaning of the entire kitchen and dining room by looking under and behind. Vermin LOVE this kind of filth and neglect.
There is a photo from a food truck in NYC that is the Grand Prize winner for scary. It is too scary for publication here, but please visit the Hall of Shame at www/peterbfoodsafety.com
