Member Profile: Tasty Safety

I authored the book “Tasty Safety” to both chronicle my experiences, good and bad, as well as to

guide readers on the path to food safety. Why? To protect our loved ones, ourselves and our country from potentially lethal foodborne illnesses.

I provide compliance solutions from my breadth of real-world food safety expertise based on a

27-year career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection

Service. I recently retired from the USDA-FSIS and my passion for food safety for consumers and in advocacy for foodservice operators burns as brightly as ever.

Tasty Safety specializes in establishments requiring USDA-FSIS Grants of Inspection (GOI) for red meat and poultry slaughter, processing and import-export; restaurants, hotels and institutions; commercial kitchens; manufacturing facilities and bakeries. My expertise comprises all types of food safety programs such as HACCP, SSOP, SPS, and Micro Compliance. Our services also include pathogen tracking and investigations.

If you have that special meat and/or poultry product that you would like to wholesale and bring to market under federal inspection, please contact Healthy Earth LLC-Tasty Safety. New product lines and flavor development is our specialty. We can make it all happen for your business.

Recognized as an industry expert, Realdine was a guest speaker at the 2018 American Culinary Federation National Conference & Show in New Orleans.

In my 27 years with the agency, my positions ranged from Slaughter Inspector to Consumer

Safety Officer Supervisory and Frontline Supervisor responsible for 5,200 miles of inspection coverage. My real-world experience includes inspections of a wide range of facilities as a red meat slaughter inspector, poultry slaughter inspector, Halal slaughter inspector, import inspector, and processing inspector.

I also have vast experience with international imports and exports. I provided technical guidance

As the Regional Import Field Supervisor (RIFS) to import facilities (I-Houses) and to representatives of importers, brokers and distributors from Australia; New Zealand; China; Israel; France; Poland; Iceland; Brazil; Argentina; Uruguay; Spain; Italy; Ireland; Jordan; and Chile.
